Bio
Michael W.O. Holihan, the founding member of Holihan & Harchuck, has dedicated over 35 years to protecting the intellectual property rights of some of the world’s most renowned brands. A Florida Bar Board-Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property Law, Michael has earned the distinction of being recognized as an expert in his field. His career encompasses managing enforcement plans, initiating legal actions to combat counterfeiting and piracy, and advising on cost-effective strategies to safeguard intellectual property assets.
Michael’s experience includes counseling clients across industries, ranging from apparel manufacturers to media conglomerates, and litigating against importers and logistics providers involved in infringing activities. His enforcement work has led to over 600 successful federal lawsuits, ensuring his clients’ intellectual property remains secure.
In addition to his legal practice, Michael has been actively involved with the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC), serving as a board member, treasurer, and secretary. He also founded the IACC Customs Committee and the North America Task Force, advancing global anti-counterfeiting efforts.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys cooking, traveling, and mountain climbing, having scaled peaks in Tanzania, Bolivia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
